Britney Spears Gets Her Start As a kid, Britney Spears performed anywhere she could - at church, school and local TV stations. It wasn't long before Britney Spears started gaining major attention. Britney audtioned for the Mickey Mouse Club when she was eight years old. The producers of the show thought Britney Spears was too young for the show but they helped hook her up with an agent.
